Wessex Gold Riding Club is affilated to British Riding Clubs, and is part of Area 9. Created in 2011, we welcome junior, senior and non riders.

We offer our members a choice of venue and accredited trainer, so regardless of your current level, we have training sessions to suit you and your Horse.

Membership runs from the 1st of January each year for a 12 month period.

Hiring excellent equestrian facilities in Wiltshire, Gloucester, the Cotwolds, Oxfordshire and Berkshire, we can offer you and your horse a choice, you can choose clinics from our comprehensive selection of approved trainers, in a variety of venues.

Being affiliated with British Riding Clubs (BRC), we offer you the benefits of third party insurance whilst riding with the Club, discounts from local saddleries, discounts from other equestrian associations like British Showjumping, plus the quarterly BRC magazine.

Chance to compete

If you want to represent the club in Area 9 competitions, everyone gets a chance to compete, either as an individual or within a team. WGRC members double up as Chef d’Equip at competitions, to help you on the day and arrange the entries beforehand.

Our Team of Trainers

Our diverse team of qualified trainers can support and push you to achieve any goal.

Johnathan Bowman

Johnathan achieved his BSHI early in his career, before also achieving BS accredited trainer status. Although still seen out on the competitive circuit, much of his time is now taken with teaching. He runs his own JB Academy, as well as training pony clubs and regular clients, and running EQUAH.

Tanya Nevile

Tanya is trained to BHSII and BHSM and trains all levels from novice to affiliated competitors.  Still a regular competitor, you will fine Tanya competing both at BE and BS, so she really has a great insight in all disciplines.  Those who train with Tanya always have a great time, enjoying her sessions.

Casey Stickland

Casey has had a prolific competition career in the UK and Australia.  She represented GB as a Junior rider and a Young rider.  She has competed on small tours, and the knowledge she has gained, she willing passes on in her sessions.  She is a UKCC level 2 and BHS  Stage 3.
