Memberships
Membership is being accepted for 2023 for both junior and senior riders.
New to WGRC? Join NOW and get membership through to December 2023, so you can start riding and training with us straight away.
If you were a member with us in 2022, and re-join, we will give a discount of £6, bringing the cost down to £26.
Our automated online membership form is very quick to complete, and easy to do; please type your old membership number if applicable, or type NEW, until you receive your individual number. Alternatively, you can download, complete and print out this PDF form and post it, and then either pay on line, via BACS, or post a cheque with your form.
Membership forms need to be completed as detailed above, with the membership fee. Those posting need to send to Jo Howse (see our Contact page for details).
Membership cards are issued by BRC and can take up to six weeks to arrive.
We are affiliated with British Riding Clubs, and are part of Area 9.
Although initially a riding club for adults, we do welcome older children to join our successful Junior Team. Junior riders get the chance to represent WGRC in Area 9 team competitions as well as enjoy our clinics and social events.
If you would like to be included/considered for team events, email or post a photocopy of your horse’s Passport and vaccination history to Jo Howse. Horses need not be vaccinated for clinics and Club-level competitions, but Area and National competitions under BRC rules require that horses and ponies are vaccinated, and there have been no breaks in the cover of their injections. Since mid-2021, BRC now require vaccinations to be with 12 months if you wish to compete, although the recommendation is still every six months. Horses must be injected more than six days before the competition.
Discounts are available for members from our sponsors – see below. Members will need to display their membership cards to get these discounts and they are non-tranferable to friends and family, or on sale or promotional items.
Once clinic, social events or competitions have been purchased, cancellations are subject to the below
Cancellation outside of seven days of the event will be permitted, either as a credit (minus any costs associated to WGRC), or a credit note.
Cancellation inside of seven days, but outside of 48 hours, will be issued a credit note for 50% of the value of the order, with the exception of competition or social events where WGRC have paid for something which is now refundable. BRC do not give refunds under any circumstance.
Cancellation inside of 48hrs will result in no refund of any kind, unless a paying replacement can be found. The decision will be at the discretion of the clinic manger or Chef d Equip. If approved a credit note would be issued.
