The WGRC juniors are flying high at the moment, having won the Area 9 Show jumping qualifier at Leyland Court. The team consisting of Ben Newman, Morgan Kent, Sophie Barnes and Rebecca Cockleton, jumped their socks off to finish after two rounds on a score of 4 faults. The team have qualified for the National Championships at Lincoln at the beginning of September. Team trainer, Johnathan Bowman was thrilled with the result saying “for such a new team, they all supported each other and that confidence brought the result we worked for”.

Morgan Kent also won the unaffilted section of the Jumping with Style at 85cms, on his lovely grey pony Levi.

The Seniors also collected a collection of rosettes. The 70cms team (Lottie Parkin, Lizzie O Connell, Sally Snowden and Jo Manning) took first place in the unaffiliated section. This is a new class added to BRC and it proved to be a great stepping stone for new horses and riders. The 80cms Team (Steph Swadden, Alex Solan, Jeannette Wright and Becky Warner) took 3rd place in the BRC qualifer, which was a great result for this team who have put the work in and reaped the rewards.

Tara Plaister and her new horse Cortynan Vivendi Girl rode a fantastic triple clear to win the 90cms individual in the non qualifier.IMG_7249
