Pammy Hutton


Pammy is joint principal of Talland and well known as an international Dressage rider and trainer. Pammy was 2nd at Punchestown International Three Day Event on Gameel and was reserve for the Montreal Olympics. She has been in the top 12 riders in top level dressage for many years. She has produced all of her horses from scratch to Grand Prix and has taken 9 of them to international standard.

On the training side Pammy helped the Italian Three Day Event Team and the Irish Team for the European Championships in which they gained 4th place. She was also the Dressage Trainer to Gold Medal winning Australian Three Day Event Team at the Barcelona Olympics.


Marie Kent

Marie can offer solutions – whatever your level of experience, needs and aims.

Marie trained at Talland for 12 years, and is now based at Chelworth Fields Livery in Cricklade, (in between Swindon and Cirencester). Marie’s competed up to, and including, PSG as well as Novice Eventing and BSJA Newcomers. Marie trains all levels of riders, from beginners to PSG, and eventers from intro to a combination that competed at Badminton.

Marie knows everyone’s aims and abilities are different. Which is why her coaching is tailored specifically to you – there are no ‘off-the-shelf’ solutions.  Marie takes a genuine interest in each of her pupils, and wants to see them progress and achieve their goals – whatever they are.

Polly Williamson

Former European Eventing Champion, having competed at Badminton and Burghley, Polly Williamson offers clinics in all aspects of eventing, and at all levels.

Ben Greenwood


Ben Greenwood is a reputable equine professional with years of experience coaching/teach riders and producing/educating horses from unbroken to Advanced level eventing.

Ben holds the BHSI qualification and is a BHS examiner as well as competing himself at BE Advanced Eventing. Ben is the Team Trainer for WGRC in eventing, Eventers Challenge and the Combined Training.

Ben is a well known trainer and is regularly seen on the competition circuit. An honest professional with a huge amount of equine experience.


Tanya Neville


A fully qualified BHSII & BHSM, Tanya has trained pupils towards junior and young rider eventing teams including pony club championship teams within eventing, dressage and show jumping. Not to be restricted, you can often find Tanya training private clients from her own yard or theirs from Grass Root levels all the way to 2* level.

Having been involved with equines from an early age Tanya started her equine career at Talland School of Equitation under the keen eye of Pammy Hutton and Adam Kemp as the head girl for two years. Since qualifying she has flourished and successfully set up her own yard within Wiltshire and has happily been based there for 10 years.

Show Jumping


Jenny Cassan

Jenny has been placed in both the Hickstead Derby and the Hickstead Speed Derby, completing the Hickstead Derby six times. She has achieved considerable success on the national and international circuit, including twice qualifying for the Queen Elizabeth II Cup at the Royal International Horse Show, and being third in the Ladies National Championship at Windsor. She has also been placed on home produced young horses in the Newcomers and Grade C finals at the Horse of The Year Show.

Johnathan Bowman

BS Accredited Trainer

Johnathan's approach to training is tailored to your current level of riding, with your set goal in mind. Being a fully trained BS Accredited trainer ensures a structured, professional approach to your training regardless of your current level.

Johnathan will cater for all levels, from junior riders who are keen to perfect their jumping technique, senior riders aiming to improve and have fun on their horse, to the serious competitor striving for first place at competitions.

Based at Leigh Stud in Leigh near Cirencester, riders can travel to Johnathan to use the purpose built facilities or Johnathan can travel on a freelance basis to your home or venue.

Johnathan still competes regulary, both home and abroad, as well as producing young horses for clients and himself. Johnathans time is also spent with the now renown JB Academy, which offers its members a structured 12 month program in training.

Emma Harford BHSIT


Emma is Talland yard manager and has trained with Pammy and Mrs Sivewright for many years. As well as ensuring the welfare of Talland’s many residents, equine and human, Emma also specialises in teaching Sidesaddle and Stable Management



Ian Smeeth

Affiliated Judge showing

Ian is a renowned international showing Judge and producer based at his home Moor Farm in Minety Wiltshire where he producers a number of top class horses to compete throughout the country at affiliated shows. Ian has had a great success producing horses professionally however, he really enjoys supporting Amateur owner riders in order to get the best out of their horses. He has produced horses that have won and taken champion at the Royal International Horse show, Windsor, HOYS etc.

Ian is available for tuition at his home in Minety where he is keen to support you get the best out of your horse in the show ring. His approach is very informal and incorporates everything he has learnt himself over the many years of competing himself.

Ian can cater for all levels of rider whether you are new to the show ring or have experience under your belt he is happy to help and support you. Please do get in touch to discuss your requirements on an individual basis.
